The Gauss Cars story

A small fleet.
A big idea.

Gauss Cars runs a focused fleet of autonomous Tesla vehicles in Scottsdale. The idea is simple: pair a remarkable electric vehicle with a ride you summon from your phone and never have to park, charge, or hand back at a counter.

Winter 2026 · Coming online

The Cybercab
comes to Scottsdale.

Gauss Cars is an autonomous Robotaxi fleet led by Tesla's purpose-built Cybercab. Summon one through the Robotaxi app and it drives itself to you and across the Valley. It is built for the trips Scottsdale actually makes: short hops around town, Old Town nights out, resort and golf runs, and Sky Harbor, at a fraction of what a rideshare costs. No keys, no counter, no driver.

Why Cybercab

The best way
around Scottsdale.

Cheaper per mile, built for the desert heat, and always ready. Here is why a Cybercab beats a rideshare, a taxi, or your own car in the Valley.

01

Up to ~90% cheaper per mile

Tesla targets roughly $0.30–0.40 per mile all-in for the Cybercab, against the $2–3 a typical Uber or Lyft runs. On a spread-out city like Scottsdale, that is where you feel it.

02

Beat the heat

Summon a Cybercab and it arrives pre-cooled and driving itself to you. No standing on 110°F asphalt waiting for a pin to move.

03

Old Town, handled

Door to door with no parking, no valet, and no morning-after car to retrieve after a night out. The obvious call in a dense, zero-tolerance nightlife district.

04

Driverless every trip

No steering wheel, no pedals. Every ride runs on Tesla's autonomy, one fleet improving on the same software instead of one driver's judgment on one night.

05

Always charged, always ready

Cybercabs recharge themselves on inductive pads with no one plugging them in, so the fleet stays available and wait times stay short at peak.

06

Built for the Valley

Two seats, a 20.5-inch screen, and a purpose-built cabin for the runs you actually make: resorts, golf, Old Town, and Sky Harbor.

Cost, charging, and cabin figures are Tesla's stated specs and targets for the Cybercab, unveiled October 2024. Learn more at tesla.com/robotaxi.

Questions

The things
people ask us.

Still not answered? Write to hello@gausscars.com.

When can I actually ride?
The fleet comes online in Scottsdale in winter 2026. People on the list get access before it opens to the public, so joining is the only way to be early.
Where does it run?
Scottsdale first: Old Town, the resort corridor, the golf clubs, and Sky Harbor runs. We expand across the Valley from there as the fleet grows.
What will a ride cost?
Tesla targets roughly $0.30–0.40 per mile all-in for the Cybercab, against $2–3 for a typical rideshare. Those are Tesla's published targets, not a Gauss Cars price list. We publish our own fares before launch.
Is Gauss Cars part of Tesla?
No. Gauss Cars is an independent Scottsdale fleet operator running Tesla vehicles on Tesla's Robotaxi platform. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Tesla, Inc.
Who is driving?
Nobody. The Cybercab has no steering wheel and no pedals. Every trip runs on Tesla's autonomy stack, under Arizona's autonomous vehicle rules.
I run charging, cleaning, or fleet ops. Can we work together?
Yes. A driverless fleet still needs charging, cleaning, detailing, and day-to-day operations across the Valley. Register as a provider on the interest form or write to partners@gausscars.com.
